Sorry for the radio silence on the "personal playlist-blogging-hybrid" front. We've had our heads burred in rehearsal, recording, and writing. We ARE coming out with new music, but as my dentist explained to me once, "art takes time".... he was weirdly full of wisdom for a bringer of death and a master of nightmares.
Let's jump into the scene before I get quickly distracted by the next task at hand:
"Baby it's cold outside..."
I was begged at the behest of my manager "do something christmassy". If you've been following me for any amount of time then you would know that I have a very base level need to defy whatever I'm told do to. So we'll do the Christmas thing my way: songs meant to make you feel cold. There's an airy, light breathed feeling to them that encapsulates that "Caught in the cold" feeling.
While listening to these songs in order, I want you to leave your home in the first song as you venture out into the winter. This every song you will feel colder, and colder.
The first rack is one of my absolute favorites ever recorded. I wanted an old song to match the old standards we typically hear around this time, and then dive further into electric beats/darkness as we get further from home.
